California Educational Technology
Professionals Association is an association of Educational Technology
Professionals (technologists) supporting schools within and outside California.
Founded in 1960, the major emphasis of the association's activities are directed
towards improving Administrative Information Processing in public education
within the State of California and to prepare its membership to better meet and
support the technological needs of the Instructional Program.
Our members are the IT Professionals supporting technology in schools, which includes job titles such as Chief Technology Officer, Director of Technology, Network Manager, Network Engineer, Technician, as well as Superintendents, Chief Business Officials, Teachers, Administrators, and other instructional support positions.
We offer professional development through events, regional groups, publications, partnerships, a lively online community, and other resources. Our members pride themselves on keeping each other informed with best practices, lessons learned, and relevant resources.
